Dr. Emily Blanchard is our Senior Associate DVM. Dr. Blanchard grew up in the Richland area and has always had an interest in animals and science. Veterinary medicine seemed like a natural choice to pursue both interests. She graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. After graduation she practiced veterinary medicine in a mixed animal practice in lower southwest Michigan as well as worked for the State Veterinarian of Michigan before returning home in 2001 and joining the staff at the Gull Lake Animal Hospital.

Dr. Blanchard’s family includes her husband Pete, daughters as well as their as their dog Painter, an English Shepherd. When not at work Dr. Blanchard enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, baking, and helping with the family flower business.
